IDYLLIC MAGAZINE
SPREAD DESIGN
In my magazine design class, I was given the task of creating an 8-page magazine spread about a topic of my choice.
I decided to create a food, travel, & lifestyle magazine which featured articles about fun things to do in different places, foreign meals to try, and pretty much just anything fun and adventurous.
The 8 pages were required to include a front cover, a contents page, a credits page, a 2-page spread, two 1-page spreads, and a back cover featuring an advertisement. All of the content and design choices had to be cohesive and directed towards a specific target audience.
PROCESS:
My classmates and I regularly participated in peer reviews and critique sessions.
It was a great way to hear directional feedback, and to give some outside perspective and ideas for some of my peers’ work.
Since everyone took different directions with their design choices, it was really fun and interesting to watch all of the unique paths of progression.
